Manshu-In-Monzeki
The origin of this temple was in 782-806, when Saicho (the founder Archbishop of Tendai-shu sect) built hall for image of Amida Buddha. In 1656, it was moved to this place by Prince Ryosho. This has a deep relation with Imperial Family. The splendid gate on the stone steps, the picture of Bamboos-Tigers in the entrance, the Dry-Rock garden represented deep mountains and spreading ocean, those all are so outstanding. This temple is also known for its beautiful red maple trees in fall. Why not visit so formal tasteful and refined temple, Manshu-in ?
