Nishiki-Market
Nishiki located in center of Kyoto city is the market known as “Kitchen of Kyoto”, because most of chefs in Kyoto get ingredients in this market. There are variety kinds of shops such as local vegetables, fresh sea foods, Tsukemono (Japanese pickles), tofu, sake and snacks. It has more than 100 small shops about 400 meters along both side of narrow street. If you walk along this street, you will meet Japanese food you have never tried. In front of this market, there is a Nishiki-Tenmangu Shrine which has God for commerce and academic.
