Kifune-jinja Shrine is located along Kibune River, in the bottom of Mt.Kibune, in north east part of Kyoto city. The path form Kurama-dera Temple to Kifune-jinja Shrine is filled with roots of trees, and is called Ki-no-Nemichi. It is said that this shrine was constructed in the 5th century, and the record of reconstruction was left. This shrine is enshrined the God of water. Due to a story that Izumi-shikibu (famous female poet of the Heian Era) was reconciled with her husband after worship, it is also famous for a spot of good relationships among women.
